What an experience this is for us
Travelling thru Needham without no bus
It’s a little too adventurous
For two black girls without no bus.

What an experience this is for us
Travelling thru Massachusetts with no blinkin’ bus
It’s definitely too much fuss
For two black girls without no bus.

We ain’t got no horseback
But we got a train
With a fare to New York that was totally insane,
On a Sunday Service, South station was
With Greyhound, it would be a 24 hour journey for us.

With no $30 fung wah bus!
Amtrak we had to trust.

What an experience this is for us
Travelling thru Needham without no bus
It’s a little too adventurous
For two black girls without no bus.

We settled in the train for a brief respite,
Reached NYC 2:15 in the night;
Waiting on a delinquent friend
Who came 4 o’clock in the end.
Lord what a journey this would be,
We had another 2 hours to Poughkeepsie.
Truly we didn’t think,
That at 6’o clock in our beds we would sink.

What an experience this is for us
Travelling to New York with no fung wah bus
It’s a little too adventurous
For two black girls without no bus.
