The Idea for the book, Seaview Gardens by Denise N. Fyffe

I have been toying around with the idea of writing about Seaview Gardens for a while now; several years. However, the idea was more forcefully driven home when God started to give me book ideas in June 2015. Apart from documenting the ghetto way of life, mentality and my frustrations as I try to assimilate or not, to the culture; I recognize little is written about the history of this place. It intrigues me to represent this stereotyped community in print; after all I have been banished here, five years now.

My experiences are varied. The people are diverse in their personalities but their suffering is shared. I have endured more than my fair share of frustrations in dealing with unrepentant and ‘constantly disturbing me’ neighbours. I have taken note of the people, their struggles and their shortcomings.
