The move has taken place. I am out of the department and directly behind a drill that has me suffering two days of mind numbing, soul agitating, psychological breaking drilling and I feel as if I am going insane. This is wrong on so many levels but a score of employees have been putting up with this for several years.
I never considered myself apart of any numbers.
If we were in the USA, we could sue and win; but not in Jamaica. We would be fired, black balled and left penniless.
So, I sat in my seat, wrote the emails to my new supervisor asking for permission to go home.
Of course, it was denied.
This was the hell they made for me.
Many people suffer in silence; ridden by stress and abuse. Workplace harassment is a reality. It is abuse just like physical abuse! We should not tolerate it just because someone is paying us every month. I encourage you to rise up and protect yourselves. Report it and stop this immoral occurrence in the workplace.
