I am, FOREVER BLACK.

My mother, BLACK
My father, BLACK
My sister, BLACK
My brother, BLACK
My husband, BLACK
My children, BLACK
My family, BLACK
My friends, BLACK
My country, BLACK
We are, FOREVER BLACK.

Nanny of the Maroons, BLACK

We face it because we are, FOREVER BLACK.

BLACK, Mystery
BLACK, Power
BLACK, Wealth
BLACK, Beauty
BLACK, Excellence
BLACK, Intelligence
BLACK, Dominance
BLACK, Prominence
BLACK, Faith
BLACK, Race
We claim it because we are, FOREVER BLACK.

Rise, BLACK People rise
Rise above the hatred
Rise above the evil
Rise above the brutality
Rise above the systematic injustices
Rise, BLACK People Rise.
And Remember we are, FOREVER BLACK, POWER.

Plead our cause O God
With them that Strive with us
Fight against those that fight against us
Help us to stand strong
Prevail against all wrongs
Dress us in Dignity
Join us in Unity
Rooted in our Faith
Even to our graves
Justice, Truth be ours, FOREVER BLACK.

Note: In honor of the memory of every black person, sons, daughters, mothers, fathers, etc. who have lost their lives due to racism, systematic injustice, police brutality – and were murdered.

    She’s expressing her true feelings and emotions from the heart and from the history of our nation. Jamaicans are people who works, play, gives generously, are also very hospitable, but, will not tolerate being taken for granted or treated unfairly. They stand up for what they believe in. Shows solidarity for the weak and down trodden and will always express themselves when tested beyond the norm. Congratulations Denise stand up for what you believe.
