Unique Venue for the Opening Ceremony

Breaking tradition, the Paris 2024 Opening Ceremony will not take place in an Olympic stadium but along the picturesque Seine River. Athletes will parade on boats, providing spectators throughout the city with free viewing opportunities. The procession will end at the Trocadéro, where President Emmanuel Macron will address the audience, and the Olympic cauldron will be ignited.

Performances and Entertainment

The ceremony will feature not only the parade of athletes but also performances from dancers and other artists, promising a visually stunning and culturally rich event.

Time Zone Considerations

For viewers in the U.S., Paris is six hours ahead of the East Coast. While some events may begin as early as 3 a.m. ET, more popular sports like Tennis, Gymnastics, and Diving will start around 9 a.m. ET, making it more convenient for American audiences.

West Coast viewers should be prepared for some early morning viewing.
