Today at the Paris 2024 Olympics China is leading the medal count with a total of 19 medals (9 gold, 7 silver, and 3 bronze). France follows closely with 26 medals (8 gold, 10 silver, and 8 bronze), while Japan holds the third position with 15 medals (8 gold, 3 silver, and 4 bronze). Australia and Great Britain round out the top five, with 16 and 17 medals respectively.
The United States has the highest total medal count with 30 medals (5 gold, 13 silver, and 12 bronze), but ranks seventh in terms of gold medals. Other notable countries include South Korea with 12 medals (6 gold, 3 silver, and 3 bronze), and Italy with 13 medals (3 gold, 6 silver, and 4 bronze). The rankings highlight the competitive nature of the games, with many countries achieving significant success.
