Jesus tek di case an gimme di pillow;
Almighty, dis heat fierce
A lion’s bite don’t hurt as much
Not even wata fi tears;
Is just afta 10 a.m.
An ah judgement pon di lan
Di heat is like di seventh dimension of di Sahara dry lan;
Di young palm dem scorch to death
Di grass dryer dan di inside of mi hose
An di wata is as scanty as a father led family in the third world;
Des days mek fi tan inna house
An live unda fan or occupy a seat at wuk right unda di AC;
Di picknie dem just a raid di mango tree like leggo beast
I wonda is who gwaan clean up all dat mess
When dem dun wid Ms. Punsie mango tree;
Ah sah! Jamaican people nuh easy yuh nuh
Look how di ooman gaan a farin gaan wuk likkle money
Only fi di unrepentant tief dem fi desecrate har yaad;
Me hear di fan a wail like ooman a gi birth
It betta nuh gi up nuh ghost in yah;
Dis retched heat outrun, outsmart, outplay any menopause
Cause me lef side feel like a witch at di stake;
Oh refiners of Solomon
Tek heed to me soul Lawd God
Di time hotter dan a trains steam engine
Rollin thru Babylon;
But I nah gi up hope
Till massa God free wi wid some rain
But dis too shall pass sah, Even if it mean fi weather two hurricane.
