Moses Fasted Before Receiving the Commandments – Deuteronomy 9:9-18 Moses fasted for 40 days when he went up to the mountain to receive the commandments. When he came … Continue reading The Christian Life: Examples of Fasting in the Bible

The Christian Life: Listening in the Quiet
Therefore turn thou to thy God: keep mercy and judgment, and wait on thy God continually. - Hosea 12:6 KJV It feels like your floating on the top of gentle waves, when that still, small voice rises within your spirit. You should not compromise on what you want! Why should you? Your views of life changes when you get older and have lived through your trials. You become wiser and more decisive. Think on these things: Living As If You Were Dead
What are the things that arouse the strongest emotions in you? Perhaps it is a rude motorist who cuts you off in traffic. Perhaps it is the anger you feel when you are wrongfully accused. Perhaps it is frustration that results from not having enough money to meet perceived needs. When do emotions turn into sin? Anger itself is not sin. Jesus had righteous anger when they sold doves in the temple.

Exercising the attitude of Christ in your Christian Life
The Lord woke me very early this morning, at 5:30 a.m., certainly this is not my usual hours; but I could not go back to sleep. I had time to do everything; make breakfast, move at a slower pace and listen to TBC Radio. One program spoke to treating people with the ‘ATTITUDE OF CHRIST’. After the day I had at work, yesterday, it was the message I needed. So I planned that I would be exercising the attitude of Christ in my Christian Life, especially at work.
