The entire world will be certain to tune in to all of Jamaica’s 2012 Olympic Schedule, events and rounds from July 28 – August 12, 2012. Though this small Caribbean nation is participating in four sports, namely Track & Field, Swimming, Equestrian and Tae Kwon Do; they will be busy to complete a hectic schedule of 137 rounds.
Jamaica’s athletes will be vying for the top position in these events with hundreds of other athletes from almost every nation in the world. Countries like United States (USA), Soviet Union (URS), Germany (GER), Great Britain (GBR), France (FRA), Italy (ITA), Sweden (SWE), East Germany (GDR), Hungary (HUN), Finland (FIN), Norway (NOR), Australia (AUS), China (CHN), Russia (RUS), Canada (CAN), and Japan (JPN) are the top performing countries, overall, of all time, since the inception of the Olympic Games.
The Jamaican sprint team, which includes Usain Bolt, Asafa Powell, Yohan Blake, Warren Weir, Shelly Ann-Fraser-Pryce, Veronica Campbell-Brown, Sherone Simpson, Kerron Stewart, Brigitte Foster-Hylton and others, will not start competing until August 3, 2012.
