All the major players are safely through to the semi-final round of the women’s 100m after the running of the qualifying round at the JAAA/Supreme Ventures Limited National Senior Championships inside the National Stadium.
Christania Williams from the University of Technology is the fastest qualifier after a smooth-looking 11.20 seconds win with Simone Facey, 11.31; reigning Olympic champion Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce; 11.38; Elaine Thompson, 11.38 and Veronica Campbell-Brown, 11.39 all booking their spot to Friday’s semi-final round.
The women’s 100m semi-final is set for 7 p.m. on Friday with the final set for two hours later.
