Kirani James, the youth from Grenada, who captured our minds and hearts, did not get his Olympic gold. He was denied by Wayde Van Niekerk of South Africa, who broke the world record with 43.03s.
Nonetheless, we congratulate this young man, for the example he has set and representing the Caribbean. He was very gracious to Van Niekerk, as any real professional would be.
We are proud of you Kirani!
