Jamaica will be represented by three women in the women’s 100m Hurdles Round 1, at the Rio 2016 Olympics. Jamaica’s Shermane Williams, running from heat 1, placed fourth in her heat. Nickiesha Wilson had to wait on the reports from the photo finish, as three women crossed the line. It was too close to call with the naked eye. At the end of the night, it was declared that she placed third, in her heat. Megan Simmonds had a great run in heat 4 and took second place. In typical Jamaican style, she celebrated enthusiastically at the end.
