Jamaican Lifestyle: I am not my hair, or am I?

black-wedding-hairToday’s generation of women are so conscious of how they look, their hair and love to follow all the fashion trends.

This is not only applicable to what they wear but with their hair as well. There are many hair magazines on the market that have a high readership because of this. One such hair magazine is Hype hair which is quite popular.

There are many more including American spa, American salon, and Hair’s how.

Women turn to a hair magazine or a beauty blog so that they can emulate certain styles or gather ideas on how to take care of their hair. Each race of women has different ways in which they care for their hair.

Black women especially have different ways and options of styling and caring for their hair.

Some like it processed and many others like a natural look.

Jamaican women are no different. Jamaican women are capable of displaying a myriad of hairstyles, especially on a night out or attending a dance-hall session.

For every woman who states that ‘I am not my hair’, there are millions of other people who would say that their hair is everything.
