The much-anticipated London 2012 Olympic ceremony has ended. Representatives from all 205 participating countries marched and displayed the cultural heritage, dress and flag of their countries. Jamaica and Usain Bolt did not disappoint; strutting with vitality in their Cedalla Marley, official Olympic garbs.
When honest analysts look back and assess the entertainment value of this 2012 Olympics, certainly they will have found the London 2012 Olympic ceremony truly lacking. Many of the performances were underwhelming and dragged out for too long; losing the interest of many international viewers. Comments to support this can be viewed all over social media platforms like twitter and Facebook.
One of the more interesting antics of the 2012 Olympic Ceremony was that of Rowan Atkinson aka Mr. Bean. His simplicity in his quirky antics, had people the world over giggling with glee. The nearly four hour ceremony offered the world a ‘documentary’ look into the British culture with emphasis on popular movie, TV and music, characters and films. David Beckham, Mary Poppins and Harry Potter’s Lord Voldermort were a few of the international icons that most people would readily relate to.
If you missed the ceremony, do not despair. See below for photo highlights taken from the London 2012 Olympic ceremony:
