Poetry Books by Jamaican Author and Poetess Denise N. Fyffe

Poetess Denise N. Fyffe

My given name is Denise Fyffe. As a child, I was a spawn of the creative influence that means drama, skits, singing in the school choir, making and painting little flowers and designing cards for my friends and loved ones. It seems unreal for me to vaguely remember writing novellas in exercise books, as well. Shyly, I do like to sing but I didn’t stop at the confidence shop for that particular talent.

I am trained in Education, Counselling,  Software Implementation, Training, Writing, Web Research and Career Development – a mouthful I know. But I have been blessed to study and adapt to learning many things, and to be equally good at those vocations.

I have climbed and ran along many others of my species, for fourteen years, in the ‘rat race’. I have worked for Infoserv Institute of Technology, Heart Trust NTA, Pearson Education, the University College of the Caribbean and Salary.com. As always, I am now on a path which is yet to be fully explored in Jamaica. I am a Freelance Writer. Yes, one of those people who churn out hundreds of articles, with someone else’s name on it.

My policy, who I am, what I am about; ties intrinsically with my spirituality. At the center of me is God ‘the Holy Spirit’, and as such I eat of his fruits love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness and temperance.

I write Jamaican poetry; that means every genre, every matter, every subject, and every rhyme. Love, emotions, politics, spiritual, world events, life events – your events. I write what I see, I write what I feel, I write of both yours and my experience equally.

Poetry Books by Denise N. Fyffe

I self published my first book in October 2010. A huge dream fulfilled. I choose to give the people what they wanted first; which was love poetry. My book ‘Jamaican Honey and Sauce‘ is love poetry for every woman’s enjoyment and every man’s delight. From petty crushes to the moans of the broken hearted. From private fantasies to the rumblings of true love. Most of my books are available at many online bookstores including Bookworld.com.auSmashwords.comAmazon.com (all their websites), Barnes and Noble, Nook, IBookstore, Rakuten.co.jpLulu.com, and Bookophilia bookstore in Kingston, Jamaica.

I have written well over 1000 poems at my last count; which was years ago. I tend to write many of those, depending on the way life is ‘rocking’ me; so don’t be surprised if I am actually closer to 1500.

Professionally I have researched, prepared, written and edited more than 1700 programme descriptions and online course web content, 500 Job descriptions, 2500 Articles, nearly 1500 Blog posts, US and UK web content and edited company training manuals and documentation.

Writing is my life and my purpose. My goal is to write over 100 books and that I think is achievable as I have more than a dozen manuscripts ready to be published. I believe in being focused, persistent and determined when it comes in to achieving your goals.

Lets see where this journey takes me.
