All eyes were on the ‘big man’, Usain Bolt as he came to the point of completing a ‘triple triple’ and achieve three gold medals in the 100m, 200m and the 4x100m, at the Rio 2016 Olympics.
All waited with bated breath as the baton exchanged from Asafa Powell to Yohan Blake to Nickel Ashmeade and finally to Usain Bolt. The ‘triple triple’ was complete and all is well with the world. Afterwards, it was all fun & games, with a little dancing as the Jamaican men, celebrated with a lap of honour.
Three teams were close on the line, but in the end a blazing Japan took the silver, USA the bronze and Canada got fourth place. Usain Bolt is an athlete of a quality that might never be seen again. He is fun, humble, draws millions of spectators and a great athlete.
